Spent a pleasant hour with a cup of coffee, photographing the many birds that come to my feeders every morning. I’m going through a liter of necture and 6 ounces of sunflower seeds each day.

Baja BirdNotes – White-crowned Sparrow

The White-crowned Sparrow is a large sparrow with a small bill and a long tail. The head can look distinctly peaked or smooth and flat, depending on the bird’s attitude.

BirdNotes – Mar-13-18 – Baby Hummer Story

I received a telephone call from my good friend Debbie Bonifer about a baby hummer.  The bird had flown or fallen from the nest.  It was a fairly older fledgling, well feathered, wings fully feathered.

BirdNotes – 30 June 2017 – Revisit to this day a year ago – Costa Rica

I’ve been super busy with wood carvings and have remiss in my birding. While I have lots of birds around all day they are the same old guys. I shoot a bunch of photos, but they are all of the same dozen species. For a change of pace, I dug back in the old files and will share the post from Costa Rica a year ago.
