Birdnotes – Sunday 22 Oct 2018

this Sunday morning dawned with clouds on the eastern horizon. While I got out by 6:30 the light did not get bright until after 0800. The list for this morning was 10 different species. The highlight was a Lesser Roadrunner. I got a lot of photos, while he posed. I’ll share them here.

Check out that long tail … as long as his body

A handsome bird about 3 foot long and about a foot tall.

Note the eye patch … red white and blue.

A very alert bird … notes if anything moves.

Another close-up

Could not stop taking his portrait as he posed for me

One of my very favorite Baja birds
